Internet Marketing Promotion and Advertising

I get a lot of emails from people in my downline asking me what methods of advertising I use and whether or not I used the 30 days to Success guide.

The first thing I did when I got my Plug-In Profit Site back in May 2004 was to start working my way through the 30 days to Success Guide. I didn't do everything in the guide - I just selected a few things and worked hard on them. The things that I concentrated on were:

- Reciprocal Linking
- Writing and Submitting Articles
- Pay Per Click advertising
- Posting in Forums
- Adding new content to my site
- Building my opt-in list

If you'd like more details on any of the above, take a look at my Beginner's Guide to Internet Marketing, Promotion and Advertising. Here you'll find lots of suggestions for building your opt-in list and increasing your signups and traffic.

Two words of advice:

1) Make sure you set yourself a budget and stick to it. You'll be tempted to buy all sorts of things that are recommended by Internet Marketers and its easy to blow your budget quickly. If you want to buy something, especially if its something expensive, have a cooling off period - sleep on it and decide the next day if you really need it. You can also email me for advice if you're in my downline, or make a post to the Plug-In profits forum.

2) Don't expect instant results! I see so many people give up after a month or two. I can only assume that this is because they didn't make money instantly or because it was more difficult than they thought. It took me 4 months till I was in profit. I spent around 5-10 hours a week every week for that four months working on promoting my site. Think of this as a long term business.
